Jugaad Terms and Conditions

Version terms-2026-11-02. In effect from 2 November 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Litehouse DeepTech Private Limited, 912, 1st Floor, DBS House, Marzban Road, Fort, Mumbai 400001, India ("Litehouse", "we"). Read them with the Privacy Notice.

In short. Jugaad helps you notice bills, renewals, deadlines, meetings and possible scams in your own mail and calendar. It reads, reminds and warns; it never pays, books or sends anything for you. Its reminders and warnings can be wrong, so check before you act. Do not copy, take apart or misuse Jugaad.

1. Accepting these terms

You accept these terms by ticking the box on the first screen and confirming your mobile number by sending one WhatsApp message, or with the code we send on WhatsApp. If you do not accept them, do not use Jugaad. If we change these terms, the version number above changes and Jugaad asks you to accept the new version before you continue.

2. Who may use Jugaad

3. What Jugaad does and does not do

4. Your responsibilities

5. What you must not do

5A. Sharing in a family circle

If you use the family circle, you are responsible for what you share. You must not share anything that:

Family items are encrypted on the members' phones, so Litehouse cannot read them. If we receive a complaint, or an order from a court or an authorised government agency, about a family circle, we may end the access of the phones concerned and delete that circle from our relay, and we keep the records the law requires. These rules are shown when you accept these terms and whenever they change.

To report a security weakness, write to [email protected]. Please do not publish it until we have had a fair chance to fix it.

6. Ownership

Jugaad, its name, logo, design, rules, scam patterns, software and documentation belong to Litehouse and its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark and trade secret law. We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Jugaad under these terms. Your mail, calendar and information remain yours.

7. Other services

Jugaad works with services we do not control, including Google (sign-in, Gmail, Calendar), Meta (WhatsApp sign-in and reminders), Cloudflare (which runs our servers) and Hugging Face (the optional AI model download). Their own terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their availability or actions.

8. Price

Jugaad is free during its test period. If we introduce charges, we will tell you in advance, show the price clearly, and ask you to agree before you are charged.

9. Suspension and ending

You may stop at any time: tap "Delete everything" in the app and, to remove your number from our records, use "Remove my number" in the Privacy tab. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect you, other users or the service. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

10. No guarantee

Jugaad is provided as it is and as available, during a test period. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will find every bill, deadline or scam.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Litehouse is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by acting on, or failing to act on, a reminder or warning without checking the original message. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the higher of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and one thousand rupees. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

12. Complaints

Grievance Officer: Nandini, Litehouse DeepTech Private Limited, [email protected], or by post to the address above. For general questions, write to [email protected]. We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days of receiving it. A complaint about your personal data is also handled as the Privacy Notice describes. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India for personal data, or a consumer commission.

13. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction.

14. General

If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term at once, we may still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them to a successor of the Jugaad business, and will tell you if we do. If a translation of these terms differs from the English text, the English text prevails.
